Eric Floyd Woodson Jr., 33, of San Diego, California, was tragically struck by a car and passed away on December 4, 2024, leaving behind a loving community of family and friends in disbelief and deep sorrow.

Born on March 5, 1992, in San Diego, California, to Eric Woodson Sr. and Patricia Jimenez, Eric was known for his kind heart, gentle spirit, and deep desire to enjoy life. He grew up with a strong admiration for sports and excelled academically at Mission Bay High School. Eric possessed a sharp intellect and an ability to connect with others in ways that left a lasting impression.

Everyone who encountered Eric knew him as someone who was thoughtful, respectful, and deeply human. He allowed everyone to be who they were without judgement.

Eric is survived by his loving mother, Patricia Jimenez; his brother, Nicholas; his stepmother, Val; and Bernie, who was like a second father. He was preceded in death by his father, Eric Floyd Woodson Sr., and his beloved grandmother, Soledad Jimenez.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that contributions be made to “We See You San Diego”, a faith-based organization dedicated to transforming the lives of those experiencing homelessness and addiction. While Eric had a loving family, many men and women on the streets do not. This organization commits to being the family support, and hope that so many are missing.
